Featured Chef of the Month Itha Cao

The menu features renowned chef Itha Cao’s signature dishes, such as pancit lomi and dumplings from The Hungry Cao Restaurant. Additionally, it offers a selection of traditional Filipino favorites typically enjoyed during special celebrations, along with a variety of other enticing options.

Starters

Lumpianitos, Lumpiang Gulay, Salted Eggs

Sweet & Sour Fish

A dish that features crispy battered fish in a sweet and sour sauce. The sweet and sour sauce is typically made from tomatoes, pineapple juice, and/or vinegar.

Pancit Lomi

Pancit lomi is a Filipino noodle soup made with thick egg noodles, meat, and vegetables in a thickened broth. It can be eaten for lunch, dinner, or a snack.

Chinese Dumplings

Chinese dumplings, also known as pot stickers, are bite-sized treats made from a thin, circular-shaped wrapper made from wheat flour and water, and are filled with ground meat and vegetables.

Chicken Chop Suey

A dish made by stir-frying meat or fish, vegetables, and sometimes eggs with a thick sauce, and then serving it with rice or noodles.

Featured Chef

Chef Itha Cao has over 8 years of professional experience working in restaurants/hotels, event planning, and catering. She is a first generation American, born to Chinese parents from Northeastern China (Dongbei 东北), and uses her knowledge of Chinese regional cuisine to influence her dishes.
She is the owner to the restuarant, The Hungry Cao (“Cow”), based in Pittsburgh, PA that provides authentic, gourmet Chinese & globally-inspired catering, cook-a-longs, and unique food tastings for small events and private dinner experiences.
